Dreadful words
Forsaken restless eyes
She looks at me
And I see her fear
And her pain
Miserable truth is conveyed
What does one say to such horror?
What words are left in the face of such tragedy?
There is but silence
This choice is inhuman
And it always will be
I have no right to speak
No right to tell her what to do
I know I don�t and I won�t
I can feel it in my stomach
This is too much for anyone
To know and to decide
I also feel it is too much to ask
And tears well up in my eyes
But still in the midst of this �
And I don�t know how or why –
I believe it is possible to fight for freedom
And it is what I will keep doing
Whether with words
Or with silence
Because You are my Hope and my Life
Because of You there is hope
Even though everything seems hopeless and dark
But You will make a way
When there seems to be no way out
You are the Way
I believe in freemdom
Because You are the Light
That is stronger than all darkness
You are the Life that is stronger than death
You are the Truth that is stronger than all their lies
You came to set the captives free
In ways that only You can think of
And You will keep their souls safe
